Abstract: | Work completed included 176 soil samples, 17 RC holes (totalling 975m) and a trial TEM survey. The soil and rock chip sampling defined an area of Cu-Co- Ni anomalism about the old Mount Fitch open cut. The soil anomaly coincides with a vegetation anomaly. The anomaly was tested by a RC drill program, though poor ground conditions resulted in many holes not reaching their target depth. Despite this anomalous Cu-Co and Ni values were obtained with a maximum assay of 22m at 2.22 percent Cu, 0.44 percent Co and 0.25 percent Ni. Results from the trial TEM suggest that it will not assist in targeting copper mineralisation. |
