Abstract: | A total of 6 short HQ size diamond drill holes were drilled in Czarina pit during February 1992, in order to investigate the position and extent of the czarina Fault and associated faulting, jointing and shearing. This enabled pit wall stability to be interpreted for pit designs. Greywacke and siltstone of the Upper mine Greywacke Unit were intersected on the eastern limb of the Czarina Anticline. Assay results were generally in the order of 0.1 ppm to 2.0 ppm Au, however several higher intersections were made with values between 4.0ppm and 10.0 ppm Au. |
