Abstract: Tenements EL 27429 and EL 29636 formed the Karns project, and formed part of the greater McArthur project. Historically the area has been explored for diamonds, phosphate and copper and the tenements were picked up by Toro to explore for uranium. Work completed from grant to surrender, included; 4174 line kilometres (362 sq km) of airborne magnetic-radiometrics; and 278 soil and 27 rock chip samples. After review of all work completed Toro found that both EL 27429 and EL 29636 were likely to be un-prospective for economic uranium deposits. For this reason Toro has opted to surrender these tenements, and focus its resources on other, more prospective, ground that it currently holds.
