Abstract: | Interpretation of aeromagnetic data acquired by Austrex in 1990 delineated 48 anomalies. 10 of these anomalies were subsequently covered in a ground magnetic survey. 11 prospects were drilled after evaluating available data. No significant assays were returned, however down hole magnetometer surveys at Seagull and MC85E suggest an ironstone body nearby and so further work is required. A soil sampling programme was undertaken at the Great Eastern Prospect. 338 samples were collected. Contouring the results produce a NE-SW trending anomaly, based on the 2ppb Au contour, over 900m. |
