Title: | Summary of diamond drilling Enterprise Mine MLN 13 April to June 1992 |

Abstract: | Six diamond holes were drilled below the Enterprise pit to assess the potential for deeper mineralisation which might support an underground mining operation. Holes were collared in the Upper Mine Greywacke and precollared using RC to depths of up to 150m. The precollars were logged but not sampled as potential mineralisation in the Upper Mine Greywacke was considered minimal. A zone of mineralisation was intersected at the boundary of the Spotted Silt Horizon and the Lower Mine Greywacke, associated with the anticlinal axis and faulting. Although some spotty higher grades (up to 15 grams per tonne) occur, the zone is not considered sufficiently strong enough to justify further investigation for possible underground extensions to the Enterprise pit. |
