Title: MLN 13 Report on drilling at Battery Shear, Coxs and Henry George, September to December 1990

Abstract: A drilling programme was undertaken at Coxs, Henry George (previously referred to as the Kohinoor fault) and Battery Shear. Although the results from Henry George were disappointing, at Cox's results were encouraging enough to justify infill drilling. Cox's area lies entirely on the western limb of the Kohinoor anticline. Surface mapping and diamond drilling revealed the existence of a large fault similar to other structures identified at Czarina and Enterprise. A zone of continuous mineralisation at +0.5 grams per tonne Au appears to be closely associated with the fault and quartz veinning relating to it. The mineralisation is open to the east and south. Drilling at battery Shear covered a zone of extensive old workings. Discontinuous mineralisation was intersected along the entire zone. The Battery Shear is thought to be another major westerly dipping fault, which transects the Enterprise syncline. Mineralisation appears to be associated with easterly quartz veining developed on the footwall of the fault. An inferred resource of 113,500 t at 1.64 grams per tonne Au using a 1.10 grams per tonne cut-off was calculated for Battery Shear, and an indicated resource of 395,000t at 1.72 grams per tonne Au using a 1.20 grams per tonne cut-off was calculated for Coxs.
