Abstract: | 5 costeans totalling 226m of trenching were placed during September 1990. Costeans 1 and 2 tested to Kohinoor Syncline. Au values from costean 2 were generally below the limit of detection. In costean one gold values ranged from 0.01 to 0.16 g-t Au on the east limb and 0.11 to 2.59 g-t on the Western limb. Costeans 3 and 4 tested the Dashwood workings with assays varying from 0.1 to 3.22 g-t and 0.01 to 0.52 g-t Au respectively. Costean 5 returned no values of interest. Percussion drilling of the Kohinoor Anticline returned assays of 0.5 to 2.88 g-t Au on line 9100N adjacent to the anticlinal axis. The gold was contained in massive stockwork quartz veins within greywacke. Away from the area quartz decreased as did the gold values. At the Dashwood workings drilling returned spotty gold values ranging from less than 0.5 g-t to 1.56 g-t Au. 42 percussion drill holes (1212m) drilled in the south of the licence returned generally poor values with a best value of 3.64 g-t Au near the Kohinoor Anticline. |
