Title Holder / Company: Northern Gold

Tenure: EL7769
Year: 1993
Author: Cooper, WC
Abstract: EL 7769 is located immediately to the east of ERL 97, which Northern Gold has identified as having a significant Au resource. An exploration program was carried out on the Southwestern area of EL 7769 adjacent to ERL 9 to test for extensions of the Au mineralisation. A close spaced soil sampling program was carried out in 1992. Soil sampling delineated Au-As anomalies with values up to 5040 ppb Au and 2590 ppm As. A 50 hole, close spaced, shallow drilling program was undertaken in 1993 to test the soil anomalies for bedrock mineralisation. Best assay results include 15m at 0.33 ppm Au from section 61600N. The program has successfully tested the soil anomalies while identifying one zone of anomalous Au bedrock mineralisation.
