Abstract: | During the period under review, a technical review of the relinquished part of the tenement was undertaken, which covered geological, geochemical and geophysical data. It involved retrieval of exploration data from open file reports, GIS entry and interpretation of geological, geochemical and geophysical data. In addition, a field trip was undertaken for ground-truthing. Unfortunately, no geochemical or drilling data pertaining to the relinquished part of the project area were found. A technical review of the geological data indicates that the relinquished part of EL 28845 underlies the Burrell Creek Formation. A search for NTGS data repository did not encounter any geochemical or drilling data which could assist in determining the mineral potential of the area. Geophysics of the area shows that it has flat or magnetically recessive signature, which downgrade its mineral potential. As a result of that 9 blocks of the Licence were relinquished in June 2014. |
