Abstract: | During this anniversary period work consisted of the following up of two chromite anomalies previous defined (Southern and Northern Anomalies). The work undertaken included diamond and RAB drilling, loam and bulk samples. The Southern Anomaly Diamond hole (BH51, TD 69.5m) returned soft ultrabasic material which exhibited some rare earth anomalism. A bulk sample taken in the area returned a singleton diamond 3 x 2.7 x 1.3mm. Along strike from the pipe in Grid Area 2, a circular area some 800m in diameter appears to be shedding chromites (4 sources 'eye'). Infill loam sampling of the Northern Anomaly illustrated weak but distinct surface dispersion, while a 19 hole RAB program produced sporadic chromite suggesting small dykes as a source. |
