Abstract: This report compares the mineralisation at Jervois with that of Broken Hill. There are similarities (particularly in the main lode sequence) in lithology, deformation, and the source of sedimentary material. The major difference is metamorphic grade. This study has led to the conclusion that the attenuated limbs of folds are unlikely to lead to economic concentrations, indeed they cause the dispersion of ore in a stringer zone, which corresponds to the principle extension direction of the strain ellipsoid. It is expected that major accumulations of mineralisation to occur in the major F2 fold hinges.
