Abstract: | During the current reporting period a total of 8 stream gravel samples were collected and sent to the company lab in Perth for indicator mineral processing. The results returned 1 positive sample and 7 negative samples. A further 18 stream samples were collected and sent for geochemical analysis. Exploration has identified an area of anomalous lead, gold and uranium in stream geochemical samples. A brief review of available NTGS airborne geophysical data indicates that granites may occur in the area (based on high potassium) leading to the possibility that the anomalous results could be related to a multi-element mineralisation event associated with intrusive granites. A program of detailed field geological mapping in conjunction with rock chip and soil geochemical sampling will be undertaken to confirm the presence of granites and to determine potential styles of mineralisation. |
