Abstract: 2012-2013 provided Proto Resources and Investments the opportunity to continue it's involvement with the Research collaboration with Open University (UK) and the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Field work continued in July 2012 and the data obtained is still under analysis. A description of the state of the project has been included. There is a large amount of Palaeomagnetic data that requires completion of the analytical runs at Oxford University and detailed processing of the data. Initial Results have identified at least one magnetic reversal from the mid-Cambrian which will aid in the development of correlatable stratigraphy for the APV. Once the cores have been run for palaeomag, they will be processed for geochemistry to generate an integrated palaeomag and chemostratigraphy for the APV (Antrim Plateau Volcanics). Several samples have been selected for Ar-Ar dating and are awaiting irradiation at the Open University Lab in November, hopefully returning meaningful absolute ages (Mike Widdowson, email 13-6-2013). The Research Project and current field work will effect planning for the 2013-2014 field season. Further field work is underway currently to supplement current data. Targets could be developed and would be sited for more detailed Ground EM-gravity surveys and drilling.
