Abstract: This report summarises work carried out on Exploration Licences 2366, 2367, 2369 and 2370 by North Flinders Mines Limited in the 12 month period from 24 March 89 to 24 March 1990, being the second period following granting of the four EL's Work undertaken through the four EL's is summarised as follows: Airborne geophysical and photographic surveys. Track clearing, survey control and grid establishment. Establishment of exploration camp at Dead Bullock Soak (DBS). Completion of formed road between The Granities and Dead Bullock Soak. Reconnaissance mapping and rockchip sampling. Regional laterite sampling survey. Vacuum and Rotary Air Blast (RAB) Drilling. Reverse Circulation (RC) and Diamond Drilling. Costeaning Ground geophysical survey. DBS was subjected to a concentrated resource evaluation effort during 1989 resulting in the definition of three distinct golf deposits and estimation of in-situ resources. Total measured resources (0-50m depth), are 2.3mT ave. 2.8 grams per tonne; and inferred resources (50-100m depth), are 1.2mT ave. 3.3 grams per tonne. These in part remain open at depth. Several prospective areas are yet to be fully evaluated. Outside of DBS yet still in the Schist Hills area, regional exploration has discovered anomalous gold mineralisation in the Southern Comfort and Inspiration Peak/Rob's Rise areas. Both these areas will be further investigated during 1990. Elsewhere rockchip sampling and RAB drilling in the Mount Ptilotus area has produced some encouraging results which will be followed up in more detail. Anomalous gold mineralisation has also been detected at Challenger, Horden Hills and to a lesser extent Cave Hills. The regional laterite sampling program has detected numerous areas of gold anomalism of unknown significance due to variable background concentrations. Detailed follow-up of prioritised anomalies is envisaged for the 1990 field season.
