Abstract: | Exploration during the 1989 field season highlighted the isolated nature of the area. There were a number of minor problems associated with isolated exploration that include the lack of mobility around the licence areas (due to insufficient roads and tyre damage) and the minimal amount of previous detailed. The previous geological data that was available is of good quality and has formed the basis for the geological model. Data collection was fairly limited but was also fairly successful. Two areas (Wild Turkey and Redback Rise) have returned anomalous values and require follow-up work during the next season. The South Black Hills area was the subject of a lot of our energies with fairly limited success. To date, no significant geochemical values have been obtained within the South Black Hills area. However, other data (geological and geophysical) suggest the area still has potential and should be considered next season. Regional Data collected so far provides a good basis for ongoing exploration. Landsat, Aerial magnetics and Interpretive geological mapping have outlined areas for potential exploration during the coming field seasons. |
