EL 26100 Annual technical report 13 February 2009 to 12 February 2010

Abstract

EL 26100 held by Spinifex Uranium Pty. Ltd., comprises part of the Davenport Province Project that also includes EL 26196, EL 26095, EL 26096, EL 26097, EL 26101 and EL 26102. The relatively underexplored area encompassed by the tenements is considered to have potential to host uranium, base metal, diamond and gold mineralisation. Principal commodities sought are uranium and gold. Work included field reconnaissance, literature searches and data base compilation. Open-file company reports were obtained from the Northern Territory Geological Survey and a review of past exploration data and geological concepts undertaken. Airphoto interpretation has identified geological and structural features for ground reconnaissance. Geophysical Consulting Services has been engaged to located targets, especially for Tennant Creek-type ore bodies, beneath shallow recent cover. The platform-cover successions of the Hatches Creek Group are considered to be important in the formation of unconformity-related uranium deposits. Past exploration (CR2005-0170, CR2003-045, CR1995-0496, CR1992-0010) within and around EL 26100 indicates the area is prospective for uranium and gold deposits.
