| Abstract: | Gold at Black Cat is associated with ironstone consisting of various combinations of hematite, quartz, jasper and/or magnetite in steeping dipping shear zones. Old workings at Black Cat include three shafts and an adit leading to a stoped out area beneath the silicified ironstone roof. Ore has been mined to 10-15 m below the cap. Sampling of several iron-rich horizons did not result in any gold being discovered. |
