Title: 4th Annual exploration report for EL 24052 Bootu Creek Manganese Project, 8 August 2007 to 7 August 2008
Title Holder / Company: OM Manganese
Report id: CR2008-0499
Tenure: EL24052
Year: 2008
Author: Bushell, D
Abstract: This EL is being explored for manganese. While no field work was undertaken during this reporting period, a significant geophysical program of airborne electromagnetics was undertaken across all of the licences comprising OMM's Helen Springs and Renner Springs Project Area Interpetation of the gridded data highlights the existence of the Namerrini Group rocks and shows that the remaining area covered by the exploration licence is dominated by moderately conductive rock. Two significant EM responses can be seen. One is an EM high and is located proximal to the western edge of the Namerinni Group rocks. This high may represent the northern extension of the mapped Renner Group sediments or, alteratively may be an artefact of the processing of the data. The second anomaly occurs in the south-eastern part of the licence and clearly represents a fold hinge in one of the members of the Renner Group. Both of these anomalies represent exploration targets for future investigation.
