Abstract: | Legend acquired the tenement to explore for diamonds as the review of large set of historical exploration data from the tenement and neighbouring areas suggested that the tenement is prospective for commercial source of diamonds. However, during the recent reassessment process it was realised that in the past sufficient exploration work has been performed over the tenement. Many years of exploration activities, which included HMA sampling, geophysical and geological mapping and drilling provided some encouraging results indicating a strong possibility of occurrence of kimberlite in the license, but followed-up work remained unsuccessful to locate any pipe. It was concluded that no further exploration work is warranted on the tenement. Consequently, surrender process for EL 28206 was completed during the reporting period. |
