Title: Annual report for EL 24052 Helen Springs Project for the period 11 August 2008 to 10 August 2009
Title Holder / Company: OM Manganese
Report id: CR2009-0499
Tenure: EL24052
Year: 2009
Author: Bushell, D
Abstract: A regional aeromagnetic and radiometric survey was flown in September/October 2009. As the bulk of the tenement is covered by recent aeolian fluvial deposits, and the other areas contain outcropping sandstones, the radiometric data provided little useful information. The aeromagnetic data, however, clearly shows the distribution of the Glesson Formation and Bootu Formation units under cover within the tenement. More interesting magnetic features are also identifiable and appear strataform and may relate to alteration along contacts between permeable and impermeable units. A regional mapping project was underway at the time of writing this report and any alteration/mineralization identified during the project will be integrated with the aeromagnetic data to generate drill targets for 2010. A significantly reduced exploration budget for 2009 prevented any intrusive work during the reporting period.
