Abstract: | The Trump is one of the ironstone-related gold ore bodies along the Lone Star - Gigantic line. The main Trump workings consist of an adit driven onto the side of a hill and a linking shaft sunk from the hilltop. These appear to have been of an exploratory nature. There are numerous other shallow pits and other old workings wherever ferruginous outcrops occur. National Gold collected 18 samples from both the adit and from outcrops on the lease. The highest result was 0.17 grams per tonne Au from a sample off a dump beside a shallow pit north of the main workings. |
