Abstract: Twelve costeans were excavated along the east west line of Zapopan mineralisation. The results endorsed the previous assumption of overall geological structure and structurally controlled mineralisation in the Zapopan area. The ore horizon of Zapopan mineralisation is black graphitic state of the Koolpin Formation. Massive sulphide mineralisation containing cobalt, nickel, copper and silver was discovered during the initial survey work for geochemical auger drilling within EL 4383. Three costeans were situated at this site. The main Zapopan mineralisation zone extends eastward from a hill of the Faded Uly mine to the Zapopan mine and, then, appears to change its direction to northwest which becomes a mineralisation zone situated on the northern limb of anticline. This northern ore zone has not yet been confirmed. These ore zones have a great potentiality. The drilling programme to obtain a proven ore reserve along the above line should be hastened.
