Eighth annual and final technical report for the period 7 December 2005 to 6 December 2012, Ngalia Project

Abstract

The exploration focus was uranium mineralisation associated with the Mount Eclipse Sandstone characteristic of the Bigrlyi uranium deposit, located 40 kilometres to the northeast of EL 24571, which was discovered within the Mount Eclipse Sandstone by Central Pacific Minerals NL (CPM) in 1971. During the reporting period of 7 December 2005 to 6 December 2013, Aldershot Resources Limited and Royal Resources Limited have completed a detailed review, compiling all historical exploration into a legible database. Field activities commenced with a detailed airborne geophysical survey (magnetics-radiometrics) which was followed by site reconnaissance to the identified anomalies for verification. Photo interpretation of existing and additional geological mapping aided in geological interpretations. Surface sampling, both soil and rock chipping was carried out at airborne radiometric anomaly sites. Percussion and diamond drilling at three locations, holes were surveyed with downhole gamma logging. Petrology of rock chips and historical drill core reviewed. Rehabilitation of disturbed areas completed. A compilation of the previous years results were reviewed in the final year, no field work was undertaken. The geological contact between the older Vaughan Springs Quartzite and the younger Mount Eclipse Sandstone, along the inferred Waite Creek Thrust Zone was the focus of exploration and intersected in one diamond hole located along 'Line C'. Unfortunately no mineralisation was associated with drill samples or surface samples of areas which were explored. Due to the insignificant results and focus of exploration elsewhere, the tenement has been surrendered.
