Annual report, Warrego North Project, EL 24138, reporting period 8 October 2007 to 7 October 2008

Abstract

In April 2008 airborne magnetic and gravity data were reprocessed and orientation geochemical sampling was carried out to validate the historical geochemistry. A total of 121 soil samples including 1 rock-chip sample were collected and assayed at ALS Chemex. The -2 mm soil samples were crushed to -6 mm, put through an aqua regia digest and then analysed for trace level Au by ICP-MS (lab code Au-TL43) and for As, Bi, Ca, Cu, Fe, Sb, and U by ICP-AES (lab code (ME-ICP43). Results were not encouraging with most gold values below detection level. One sample (WNAS0019) returned 95 ppb Au and 5.64% Fe. Upon submitting an amended Expenditure Report for the year ending 7 October 2007, Meteoric also resubmitted an updated work programme and budget for EL 24138 for the year ending 7 October 2008. This programme differed significantly from the programme submitted with the 2007 Annual Report.
