Abstract: Work carried out on the tenement has included geological reconnaissance traversing, a high resolution airborne radiometric and magnetic survey, ground magnetic survey, regional mapping and historical data reviews and compilations. No evidence of economic mineralisation was found during the rather cursory fieldwork carried out over the life of the tenement. The impression is formed that the granites to the north of the Allamber embayment are not as altered and potentially mineralised as is the Allamber Springs Granite to the south of the embayment. The tenement is wholly underlain by granites of the Cullen Batholith, and while it is assumed that these are the source of much of the mineralisation in the Pine Creek Orogen, they in themselves are generally not a prospective host for base-metal mineralisation, rather metasedimentary rocks and sometimes granites in the immediate granite-sediment contact zone are. During 2012 Thundelarra Limited changed its exploration focus to base-metal mineralisation from uranium. In line with this it was decided to relinquish the tenement, even though geological appraisal of the tenement for uranium mineralisation is still incomplete.
