L 28117 was part of Rum Jungle Resources' Ammaroo Phosphate Project which is reported as GR055/12. EL 28117 was explored for rock phosphate by Rum Jungle Resources Ltd (RUM). EL 28177 is being surrendered as it is considered to be too far into the basin to have either the correct facies to host phosphate, or if present, any phosphate would be too deep to be economic. Furthermore, much of the area is sterilised by Sacred Sites, the Sandover River and Bundey River channels and associated floodouts. In the first year of tenure, 22 reconnaissance RAB holes were drilled for 938 metres along existing tracks and fencelines. Drilling did not intersect any economic grades of phosphate. Indeed, most holes, pushed to an average of 42.6 m, failed to intersect the prospective stratigraphy. No further drilling was warranted. The second year of granted tenure from 18/01/2012 to 17/01/2013 was reported in the combined annual report for GR055/12. There was no drilling on EL 28117 during this period but rehabilitation of drill sites was monitored. A partial relinquishment was made 08/03/2013 to reduce EL 28117 to the mandatory 250 sub-blocks allowed under the Mineral Titles Act. There was only desk-top work on EL 28117 from 18/01/2013 to the date of surrender, 24/10/2013. Only $2,540.50 was spent on EL 28117 from 18/01/2013 until surrender on 25/11/2013. In total, almost $160,000 admissible and non-admissible was spent on EL 28117 over the life of title. All data for the life of the title accompanies this report.en_US
