Abstract: The uncertainty as to whether or not the lithology intersected in GCRD 1 was Mount Eclipse Sandstone or Vaughan Springs Quartzite, prompted our appraisal of existing gravity data. However, it became apparent that, whilst this was useful, the number of lines would have to be increased if a satisfactory answer to the problem of future hole placement was to be obtained. Consequently, three geophysical lines of two kilometres length were laid out, 500 m apart, west of the pre-existing line (along the witchetty - wallaby bores track). Microgravity and total field magnetics measurements were made every 100 m along each of these line. The results indicated that Mount Eclipse Sandstone was probably present in the SW, near the sourthern marging of the licence area.
