Abstract: | The leases were held under unconditional exemptions from labour during 1983. The economic feasibility of exploitation of mineral resources indicated by previous exploration is under continuing review. Outcrop and drill core sampling was undertaken to investigate the potential for high grade magnesite deposits and for re evaluation of the potential of the lease areas in the context of newly developed concepts of epithermal gold-uranium mineralisation. Drill core and bulk ore samples were removed from Rum Jungle to permanent storage in Darwin. |
