Abstract: | Initial investigations of the tenement focused on research and compilation of relevant data from old open file reports as well as re-processing of historical geophysics. Compilation of available GIS data was also carried out. A fieldtrip was carried out to the tenement area from 8th - 12th March, 2007 shortly after grant of the license. The visit was part of a regional overview of tenements acquired in the region The visit coincided with the aftermath of cyclone George which caused widespread flooding in the region. Access to the project area was therefore restricted to major sealed roads and several all - weather gravel shire roads. Unfortuntely the Brocks Creek mining operation blocked known access points into the area. A major data review over the tenement area only revealed limited useful data as previous exploration mainly focused on the surrounding sediments. Coherent exploration models focusing mainly on uranium have now been established over this tenement. |
