Abstract: | EL 28534 was applied for on 29 December 2010 over five sub-blocks formerly of EL 25591. One sub-block was nominated for relinquishment at the second anniversary to meet the compulsory reduction required under the 2010 Mineral Titles Act. The tenement was reduced to the minimum size of four sub-blocks from 7 September 2013. No field activities were undertaken on EL 28534 on the surrendered portion during the reporting period from grant on 7 September 2011 up to 6 September 2013. A review was undertaken of published geological mapping, reprocessed airborne magnetics datasets and imagery, and publicly available surface geochemical datasets over the south-west region of the Borroloola Project, including EL 28534. It was concluded that because of the geochemical response, the surrendered sub-block has low potential for significant base metals mineralisation. Further investigation into diamonds potential of the retained area of EL 28534 is proposed. |
