Abstract: | EL 22505 is held by De Beers to explore for diamonds in kimberlites intruded into the Georgina Basin. In June 2002, 3221 line km of airborne magnetics were flown over this EL. Six anomalies were identified and additional infill aeromag was acquired. In June 2003, five magnetic anomalies were drilled. In all cases, magnetic gravels, part of a network of buried palaeochannels, were found to be the source of the anomaly. |
