Abstract: | The Cameron Downs project (Northern Territory) is located approximately 6km south of Batchelor. The licence area is situated in the Rum Jungle mineral field. It straddles the boundary between granites of the Late Archaean Rum Jungle Dome and (meta-) sedimentary successions of the Palaeoproterozoic Pine Creek Orogen. Exploration work undertaken includes a desktop study, a radon study with track-etch cups, EM interpretation, exploration mine management planning and risk management planning. The tenement has some anomalies from both radon cup (Alpha Track) results and EM surveys. An exploration mine management plan and a risk management plan were created in advance of further exploration. Although several targets were created the tenement was dropped for corporate reasons. |
