Title: Final technical report for EL 28698 Davis Dome, Ngalia Project for the period 26 October 2011 to 12 April 2013
Title Holder / Company: Element 92
Report id: CR2013-0472
Tenure: EL28698
Year: 2013
Author: Mill, P
Abstract: During the period of tenure, from October 2011 to March 2013, exploration work undertaken within EL 28698 comprised regional and detailed ground gravity surveys, and regional airborne electromagnetic (EM) surveys. However, initial processing and interpretation of the geophysical data collected by NTGS and Element 92 during the period of tenure appears not to support the existence of deep, sediment-filled basement incisions. Regional gravity data indicates a potentially shallow, relatively high-density body in the eastern portion of the title which is likely to be caused by Carboniferous basin rocks. Airborne electromagnetic surveys indicate generally low conductivity responses across the title consistent with shallow basement, in contrast to relatively high conductivity responses from known palaeochannels in the centre of the basin. Combined processing of the regional gravity and AEM data did not reveal any features of interest. A detailed ground gravity survey did not identify any low density features which might indicate sediment-filled basement incisions. These results significantly downgrade the prospectivity of this title.
