Abstract: The exploration programme proposed was for a number of RAB drill holes at an approximate cost of $100,000. This was to help understand the sub-surface geology and try to determine anything of a Kimberlitic nature. The area is largely covered by sand and alluvials. The area of the EL had been held by the two parties on a number of occasions over some 26 years. Previous work carried out indicated potential for Diamonds based on the finding of one single G9 Garnet on two separate occasions. Indications were that the Garnets were very close to their source. On another occasion a single Ironstone sample (collected by the author) returned a result of 24ppm Au, 100ppm Bi and 33% Fe. The source of this sample (known to be within a 4sq.km. area) could not be found and the location was not GPS'd when the sample was found. A follow-up 300+ soil sampling programme indicated no target areas. During the current year of tenure R.B. Cleaver was not prepared to contribute his 50% of funding to carry out the drilling progamme. As a result no work has occurred on the EL. The author of this report made one trip to the area to ascertain that there was no rubbish left behind from previous work. There was none.
