Abstract: | NRE?s exploration program for the second term of the Mt Ewing Prospect consisted of an extensive regional assessment of the area for phosphate and base metal mineralisation. NRE also undertook a helicopter assisted reconnaissance field program over the area. The targets within the Mt Ewing Prospect areas were identified based on desk top research of regional geological and geophysical data, augmented with compilation and assessment of all previous exploration results. A majority of this tenure is covered by thin Cretaceous sandstone with Cambrian Arthur Creek Fm black shale and limestone in the south and Arrinthrunga Fm limestone-sandstone in the north. NRE has not yet had the opportunity to fully review the results obtained from its geological mapping activities conducted during the second term. Over the next 12 month period, NRE intends on conducting a review of the results it obtained as part of these activities and integrating same into previous desktop studies and data obtained. |
