Abstract: The McArthur Project area is considered prospective for manganese (Mn) and lead-zinc (Zn/Pb) mineralisation. Mn mineralisation and particularly Cretaceous sedimentary deposits of the style seen at Groote Eylandt are the main prospect within the project area. During the 2011 season, field operations were undertaken in June to investigate access to the tenements, collect rock samples and visit the Pb-Zn occurrence (The Swamp, Galena Cliffs and Wongalara). In total 11 rock samples were collected and assayed for a suite of elements. Only 2 samples returned anomalous results with Zn values of 2813 and 3742ppm. These samples were from The Swamp mineral occurrence and consisted of Fe laterite. At present the results are not encouraging enough to warrant further investigation. No further field work was conducted during the 2012 field season due to encouraging results on USI's other ELs, hence reallocation of funds to these more prospective areas. International Geoscience recommends a field campaign is undertaken during the 2013 field season to further assess the potential Mn mineralisation of the McArthur Project area.
