Abstract: | The area relinquished is outside the core of and peripheral to the Victoria River Dome and outside the main geochemically anomalous areas. Target stratigraphy (Timber Creek Formation or lower) is considered to be in excess of 500m below surface. The Skull Creek Formation which occurs at shallower levels than the Timber Creek Formation is anomalous in Pb but to date has shown no evidence of significant economic mineralisation. No surface geochemical surveys were conducted on the relinquished area by Anglo Australian Resources. Work completed on the relinquished portion of EL 27366 included; regional data compilations by Southern Geoscience; a Helicopter supported gravity survey; and geophysical interpretation. |
