Title: Final report for EL 26231 Unca Creek
Title Holder / Company: Arafura Resources
Report id: CR2011-0778
Tenure: EL26231
Year: 2011
Author: Hussey, K
Abstract: No on-ground exploration activity occurred on EL 26231 during the entire period of tenure. EL 26231 formed part of Arafura's Jervois project area in the eastern part of the Aileron Province in the Arunta Region, Northern Territory. The ground was acquired to explore its magnetic features for magnetite-hosted vanadium deposits, akin to those found immediately north of this tenement. Exploration drilling results from similar magnetic targets on the adjacent tenement were disappointing and demonstrated the presence of different geological units. Hence the magnetic features on EL 26231 were downgraded and are now considered unfavourable targets for magnetite-hosted vanadium deposits. EL 26231 was granted to Arafura Resources on 15 February 2008 for a period of six years. The tenure was terminated on 12 July 2011.
