Title: | Fourth annual and final surrender report for EL 25578 Short Range |
Title Holder / Company: | Rum Jungle Resources |
Report id: | CR2011-0528 |
Tenure: | EL25578 |
Year: | 2011 |
Author: | Dunster, J |
Abstract: | EL 25578 was held to explore for IOCGU mineralisation, vein-type and unconformity-type uranium mineralisation. Field work included multiple geological reconnaissance surveys involving surface sampling and prospecting with a handheld XRF and scintillometer. A 200 m spaced gravity survey was conducted over part of the EL. Twelve RAB holes for a total of 408 m holes were drilled to test a large gravity anomaly. Some drill hole samples returned elevated Zn, Ni, Cu and Co, but these were not considered worthy of immediate follow-up. A final desktop study and review downgraded the prospectivity relative to other Rum Jungle ELs and projects. Rum Jungle was better focused on its success at Barrow Creek 1 phosphate. EL 25578 was surrendered. Expenditure for the fourth year was $384.62 against a covenant of $9,000. |
