Title: | Third annual and final report for EL 26570 |
Title Holder / Company: | Rum Jungle Resources |
Report id: | CR2011-0413 |
Tenure: | EL26570 |
Year: | 2011 |
Author: | Dunster, J |
Abstract: | EL 26570 was a small one-block EL held as part of Rum Jungle Resources' Tennant Creek Project targeting iron-oxide copper gold uranium (IOCGU) and other genetically unrelated forms of uranium mineralisation. Priorities on EL's within this package and between this group and other Rum Jungle projects have varied depending on available access given the wettest season on record for many parts of the NT, changing company priorities, exploration success elsewhere, commodity prices, discussions re farm-out opportunities, community attitudes and Government policy and actions (especially regarding uranium). EL 26570 was included in a regional aerial magnetic and radiometric survey. During the second year of tenure of EL 26570, a detailed ground gravity survey was completed over the southern half. This survey was completed on a 50 x 50m grid pattern for a total of 465 stations. The data were (re)processed and re-interpreted during the final year of tenure. No anomalies worthy of follow-up were identified and the EL was dropped. |
