Abstract: Work done on the tenement to date has included: data acquisition, compilation and interpretation (open file, magnetics, gravity, other geological data). Field checking of target areas identified to date. One main target area, a mapped meta-gabbro, was the initial area of interest in the tenement. Field checking showed that the unit is highly metamorphosed, and the identification may be correct. The unit has reasonable outcrop, and further checking of the contact and internal features is probably warranted, although the 'intrusive' is very likely to be of a different generation to those known to be mineralised to the southeast. It may also be worthwhile to check for the presence of additional (meta) gabbroic bodies along the same trend as those mapped within the adjoining Independence Group tenement (EL 27557). Helicopter EM surveys or systematic local geochemical surveys are the likely next exploration phases after further ground checking, if the targets are deemed to require the next stage of exploration. The potential for gold mineralisation may also need to be assessed given the recent results announced about 10km to the south by another exploration company.
