Title: Final report, 29 August 2001 to 14 February 2011, EL 8882 Greenbush
Title Holder / Company: Giants Reef Exploration
Report id: CR2011-0043
Tenure: EL8882
Year: 2011
Author: Walters, A
Abstract: Following Emmerson's review of the exploration work conducted over the licence area, more specifically the identified anomalies within the larger Bluebush Anomaly, Explorer's 15 and 81, the targets were concluded to represent a magnetic mafic intrusive complex varying from diorite through quartz gabbro to gabbronorite and anorthosite, that is tentatively interpreted as belonging to the ca 1820Ma Treasure Intrusive Suite, and not ironstone. While Wyborn (2001) believes that the ultimate source of the Au, Bi, Cu mineralisation at Tennant Creek is indeed linked with the Treasure Suite, the complete lack of any anomalism other than that due to lithology within drilling to date severely downgrades the IOGC potential and it was recommended that the licence be surrendered in its entirety. Emmerson surrendered EL 8882 on 14 February 2011.
