Results from the 1 rockchip and 64 soil samples were returned. Assays were determined by ALS Chemex using 30 g fire assays with ICP-MS finish (PGM-MS23; Au, Pt, Pd) and aqua regia digest with ICP-MS finish (ME-MS41; Ag, Al, As, B, Ba, Be, Bi, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ga, Hg, K, La, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, S, Sb, Sc, Sr, Th, Ti, Tl, U, V, W, Zn). Soil samples from 20 sites were collected with 3 size fractions at all sites (>1.56 mm, +80#, -80#) and an additional unsieved sample at 4 sites to repeat the previous sample method. Site 09UMB017 did not have any material >1.56 mm. The results failed to identify any Au, Ag or Bi anomalism, though samples did return above detection limits for Au (1 ppb) and Ag (0.2 ppm). Despite the historic 24 g/t Au sample the area has been downgraded for gold exploration. Comparison of individual elements from the different size fractions at each site reveals some interesting relationships. The coarse fraction (measured either as consistently higher >1.56 mm or lower -80#) is relatively enriched in Al, As, Ba, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ga, Mo, Pb, Sc, Th, Ti and V, whereas the fine fraction (measured either as consistently lower >1.56 mm or higher -80#) is relatively enriched in Ca, Co, La, Mg, Mn, Sr and Zn. There are no obvious patterns for Ni, P, Pt and Au. Cr and V are significantly enriched relative to average bulk continental crust. Associated with measurable Pt suggests a lower crust or mantle source for these elements. This is consistent with the historic recovery of garnet in the area and not inconsistent with the presence of a kimberlite.en_US
