Title: Finniss Range Project, EL 25604 Kings Table, Annual report for the period 7 September 2009 to 6 September 2010
Title Holder / Company: Altura Exploration
Report id: CR2010-0589
Tenure: EL25604
Year: 2010
Author: Bourke, BG
Abstract: Studies completed during the reporting period were restricted to undertaking a literature review of the three main prospects of Black Jade, Clark's and Mug's Find. Under the mandatory reduction requirements EL 25604 was reduced in area by 3 blocks in August 2010 and now comprises 3 blocks entering its 4th year. No field studies were undertaken during the current reporting period as Altura Exploration lost a number of its key field personnel in early in 2010 and proposed field work on this tenement has been postponed to enable committed work programs on other projects to be completed. Ongoing research studies have indicated that three prospect areas, Black Jade, Clarks and Mug's Find, contain pegmatites with anomalous Sn levels. These prospects remain to be assessed for their known prospectivity for tin and also for both lithium and tantalum which are the focus of Altura's exploration. The 400m spaced reconnaissance mapping and sampling program that was initiated in late 2008 and was intended to be completed during the 2009 field season still remains the present exploration objective. Rock chip sampling will focus on locating pegmatites anomalous in tin and lithium.
