Abstract: | Exploration Licence 25954 Baystone lies within the Eastern Tanami region and is situated approximately 280 km northwest of Alice Springs. EL 25954 was granted to Deep Yellow Limited on 15 October 2007. The commodity sought is uranium and the exploration programme sought to identify near-surface calcrete or sand hosted uranium, with secondary targets comprising tabular lignitic or redox traps within deeper basinal sediments. Pursuant to the requirements of the Mining Act, EL25954 was reduced by 73 blocks to 74 blocks effective 14 October 2009. No exploration was carried out over the relinquished area of this Exploration Licence during the reporting period. |
