Abstract: | EL25698 (Carrington Bore), EL 25701 (Mt Singleton) and EL 25941 (Atlee Creek) form part of the Mt Doreen Project, which lies within the Eastern Tanami region and is situated approximately 320 km northwest of Alice Springs. EL 25698, EL 25701 and EL 25941 were granted to Deep Yellow Limited on 15 October 2007. The commodity sought is uranium and the exploration programme sought to identify near-surface calcrete or sand hosted uranium, with secondary targets comprising tabular lignitic or redox traps within deeper basinal sediments. Exploration carried out within the relinquished portions of the tenements during the reporting period included reconnaissance field trips, an AC drilling programme and an AEM survey. EL 25698, EL 25701 and EL 25941 were reduced from 27 to 14 blocks, 416 to 208 blocks and 162 to 81 blocks respectively at the end of second year of term, pursuant to requirements of the Mining Act. This report covers exploration on the relinquished portions of the tenements from grant to 14 October 2009. |
