Title: Annual report for EL 26024 McKinlay for the year ending 2 December 2009
Title Holder / Company: Thundelarra Exploration
Report id: CR2009-0923
Tenure: EL26024
Year: 2009
Author: Vieru, C
Abstract: Work during the reporting period consisted of assessment of the previous data and undertaking a Tempest airborne EM survey. In April 2008 Thundelarra entered into an agreement with Geoscience Australia to infill the planned government wide-spaced airborne EM survey of the Pine Creek Orogen to 400m line spacing over the entire area of EL 26024. The survey was delayed several times for various reasons. Recently, the preliminary results were received but, no field ground check of the delineated conductive features was undertaken during the reporting period. Fifteen east-west trending lines totalling 121.5km were flown over the tenement area at 333m line-spacing (RJ14). The preliminary Tempest survey results were received before the wet season and no field checkup of the conductive features was undertaken. They are going to be the main targets for the next year's exploration program. Previous exploration has failed to locate economic mineralisation on the EL although anomalous gold and base-metal mineralisation has been discovered through the extensive use of stream and soil geochemistry and geological mapping. Only limited follow up drilling of the anomalous areas was undertaken, so that some potential remains.
