Title Holder / Company: | Newera Uranium |
Report id: | CR2009-0860 |
Tenure: | EL25488 |
Year: | 2009 |
Abstract: | The Eastern Amadeus Basin Project is located about 80km SSW of Alice Springs, along the Stuart Highway. The Project lies within Amadeus Basin in the southern NT. Amadeus Basin sediments range in age from Neoproterozoic (>800 Ma) to Devonian (~350 Ma) and include dolostone, limestone, quartzite, evaporite, diamictite and siliciclastics. Work carried out in the reporting period includes open file research, and reconnaissance rock chipping in preparation for 2009 activities. The radiometrics image shows defined uranium anomaly that appears to be related to units that host the mineralisation known at Pamela and Angela. A reconnaissance trip with some rock chip sampling was conducted within the tenement in November 2008 with a view to a more extensive program in 2009. A review of Newera's commitments in early 2009 as an effect of turmoil on world capital markets resulted in Newera withdrawing from the project in March 2009. |
