Title: Annual report for EL 26588 for the period 11 August 2008 to 10 August 2009
Title Holder / Company: Minemakers
Report id: CR2009-0506
Tenure: EL26588
Year: 2009
Abstract: Minemakers Australia Pty Ltd ('Minemakers') is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minemakers Limited, a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Minemakers' Wonarah Phosphate Project, located some 250km east of EL 26588, has NT Government Project Status and is currently subject of a detailed feasibility study. Application was made for EL 26588 in January 2008 on the basis that the ground was possibly of a similar geological signature to that at Wonarah, and its strategic proximity to the railhead at Tennant Creek. The underlying tenure is Perpetual Pastoral Lease 1142 owned by KG, JS, GJ & G Ford of Hughenden Station, Hughenden, Queensland. No field exploration activity has been carried out during the reporting period due to the high level of work, and hence limited staff availability, at the company's Wonarah Project to the east. A visit to the tenement was made to assess potential access from the Barkly Highway which would enable drill rig access; it was discovered that any drilling program would involve access construction and Heritage Act ground clearance.
