Abstract: Work completed on EL 26469 consisted of a brief literature review and data compilation in preparation for rock chip sampling and reconnaissance mapping during the 2009 field season. The initial program involved reconnaissance mapping across the tenements along 400m spaced east-west traverses with rock chip sampling of prospective targets. In August 2008, a total of 43.2 line km of mapping was completed on adjoining tenements EL 26399 and 26469, and 70 rock chip samples were taken from the area. A total of 61 rock chips were taken from EL 26469 (most of these from the Mammoth, Arltunga and Jenny's prospects). Of the 10 regional rock chips taken, none produced encouraging results for Sn and Ta. At Jenny's (which borders EL 26469 and EL 26399), 7 rock chips from a series of back-filled costeans generally returned low levels of Ta (<35ppm), and Sn (<100ppm), with one rock chip 300m to the southeast of the prospect returning 221ppm Sn. At Arltunga, 9 rock chips from three shallow pits returned low Sn (<67 ppm) and Ta (56 ppm) values. Extensive rock chip sampling of mullock from shallow pits at the Mammoth prospect (32 samples) yielded some low level Sn (up to 167 ppm Sn) and Ta (up to 123 ppm) anomalism.
